I wonder what drew you to this page? Perhaps you experience negative thoughts and low self-confidence and you want that to change. Or you feel a lack of self-discipline and focus in your life that you really need. How SoulFit can help you
Breathe deeply, feel your senses awakened by the sights and sounds of the river and reconnect with your whole self.
You can read numerous studies about how running enhances our mental and emotional health, from stimulating our emotional resilience and emotional processing areas of the brain, to building our problem-solving abilities and even causing new brain cell growth. These neurological changes have been shown to reduce anxiety, prevent depression and increase our self-esteem.
SoulFit builds on and deepens these natural processes by providing a supportive, confidential relationship in which you can explore your mindset and better understand the way you think and see yourself. I will help you transform self-talk that undermines and erodes your self-esteem into ways of thinking that build self-respect and self-care.
Because our body, mind and emotions are inter-connected, running helps us connect with past experiences that our bodies have internalised, and provides a way of expressing our emotional energy through movement in a way that restores and heals.
You will begin to experience a sense of inner strengthening, focus and motivation, and I will provide you with a safe environment to process these positive changes and integrate them into other areas of your life.
SoulFit will also give you an opportunity to feel healthier, fitter and more connected to nature, creating an environment in which your heart and soul come alive.
What to expect in a SoulFit session
Our first session will focus on identifying your own specific personal goals for building your mental and emotional resilience. We will explore what you would like to work on and how you will feel when you have completed your coaching.
For future sessions, we will meet in an agreed location by the River Thames in Shepperton.
Sessions are 50 minutes, and begin with a short warm up. We may also begin with some mindset strengthening exercises tailored to you.
We will then spend the remainder of the session running, incorporating a blend of mindfulness exercises and resilience building tools designed specifically to support your particular goals.
SoulFit takes place in most weather conditions including the rain. Running in the rain provides a powerful opportunity to connect with nature, which has been shown to have a positive impact on our mental and emotional wellbeing. It also creates a more adventurous environment in which your potential for resilience and self-awareness will have an opportunity to grow. If it is icy, extremely cold or snowing your session would be postponed with 24 hours notice. In order to ensure enough light and reasonable weather, I usually run SoulFit between March – October.
Towards the end of your SoulFit journey we will return to the coaching room to bring together all that you have learnt and experienced.
We will review regularly to ensure we are working together towards your goals for coaching, and we will both sign a written Working Agreement that describes what we can expect from each other throughout the coaching relationship.
I am committed to the AC Global Code of Ethics which outlines best practice in coaching, including maintaining confidentiality, data protection, on-going learning and development and required supervision to practise.
Location
Sessions take place outdoors along the Shepperton riverside, and in my coaching space, a peaceful cabin with privacy and calm to help you work towards your personal goals.
10 minutes walk from Shepperton Station and Shepperton High Street.
Free parking directly outside, and riverside cafés nearby if you want to reflect and relax before or after the session.

Cancellations
Up to four cancelled sessions per year are not charged for. This offers flexibility around illness and unforeseen circumstances.
