Whether you’re struggling with overwhelming stress at work, persistent anxious thoughts, or tension that affects your body, this session provides a dedicated space to help you feel grounded, calm, and more in control.

You may have been carrying emotions that haven’t yet been processed, or experienced trauma that leaves you feeling anxious and on edge. Whatever has led to the stress you are feeling, this Body-Mind Reset guided meditation is here to support you in moving into a place of calm, peace, and relief.

Stress triggers your body’s ‘fight or flight’ response (controlled by the body’s Sympathetic Nervous System or SNS), which can create a wide range of sensations. You might notice tension headaches, sore or tight muscles, increased fatigue, shallow or rapid breathing, clenched jaw or difficulty sleeping — just some of the ways stress can show up in your body. Everyone experiences stress differently, so you may notice other sensations as well.

Anxiety held in your body may feel like butterflies in your stomach, nausea, racing thoughts, a pounding heart, shortness of breath, or a restless on-edge feeling, making it hard to focus or relax.

Body-Mind Reset is designed to help you connect with your surroundings and yourself in the present moment, and by simply noticing and giving attention to where your body needs it, you will find yourself eased back to a sense of calm, balance and rest.


How Body-Mind Reset Can Help You

This carefully designed session supports the part of your nervous system that promotes rest and recovery (Parasympathetic Nervous System or PNS), helping your body and mind move into a state of calm, healing and restoration.

By slowing down and bringing mindful attention to your body and surroundings, this soothing hour-long practice can help you:

– Reduce anxiety and stress through proven relaxation techniques
– Release muscle tension and ease points of physical discomfort
– Lift your mood, leaving you feeling lighter and more at ease
– Calm your mind, improving focus and overall wellbeing

As you slow down and bring your attention into the present moment, you will have an opportunity to step away from the demands of daily life and reconnect with yourself in a peaceful and supportive environment.

Who Is Body-Mind Reset For?

Body-Mind Reset is suitable for adults of all ages and abilities, as well as young people aged 16 and over.

It’s ideal for anyone wanting to manage stress or anxiety, find inner calm, and restore balance to both body and mind. No previous experience of therapy or meditation is needed to gain full benefit from the session.

Is Body-Mind Reset the same as Counselling or Psychotherapy?

While Body-Mind Reset can provide meaningful relief from the symptoms of stress and anxiety, it is not intended to replace therapeutic counselling where deeper healing may be needed.

Sometimes stress and anxiety are connected to unresolved experiences, relationship difficulties, loss, trauma, or long-established patterns of thinking and relating. In these situations, it can be helpful to explore and process the underlying causes, rather than focusing solely on the symptoms.

Body-Mind Reset offers you the opportunity to pause, breathe and restore a sense of calm in the present moment. If, over time, you feel you would benefit from exploring the roots of your stress or anxiety in greater depth, therapeutic counselling may be a helpful next step.


What to expect in a Body-Mind Reset session

During our time together, I will gently guide you through a soothing blend of mindful exercises, guided visualisations, breathwork and a full Body Scan, where you focus your attention on each part of your body in turn.

Sessions take place in my tranquil garden cabin in Shepperton, Surrey. Surrounded by natural sights and sounds, you will be invited to settle into a calm and restful space. Gentle music and natural incense will be used to support relaxation and help create an environment where both mind and body can begin to unwind.

Everything will be prepared for your arrival, including a comfortable yoga mat, cushions, soft blankets and water. However, you are very welcome to bring any of your own items if this helps you feel more comfortable and at ease.

Will we be talking at all in this session?

This session is primarily non-talking — a peaceful, deep relaxation meditation that involves silence for most of the time. You will only be invited to speak briefly during the mindfulness section of the session if you wish, and otherwise you’ll be following my voice and prompts as I gently guide you through each exercise.

At the end of the session, there will be a few moments for you to share how you are feeling and reflect on your experience, but this is entirely optional and only if you feel comfortable.

I am committed to working in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework which outlines best practice for counselling, including confidentiality, data protection, on-going learning and development and required supervision to practise.


Location

Sessions are held in my therapy space, a peaceful cabin in the garden with privacy and natural calm to help you connect with your mind and body.

10 minutes walk from Shepperton Station and Shepperton High Street. 

Free parking directly outside, and riverside cafés nearby if you want to reflect and relax before or after the session.

If you cancel your session with less than 24 hours notice, or do not arrive, the full cost of the session applies.

If you would like to reschedule your session once booked, please email me with more than 24 hours of the start of your session and I will be happy to try and find an alternative time that works for us both.
